In June 2015, the world premiere of Soft virtuosity, still humid, on the edge, a work by Marie Chouinard for ten dancers, was presented at the COLOURS International Dance Festival in Stuttgart.
Marie Chouinard is invited to create for other companies. In October 2015, she choreographed the Anne & Samuel duo at the invitation of Les 7 doigts de la main. In April 2016, she created Inner Resources for the Martha Graham Dance Company.
In 2015, COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD launched CANTIQUE, one of the first artistic and creative applications for iPad and iPhone. Available free at the App Store, this application allows players to alter in real time the faces of a woman and a man, as well as the sound, to create an unusual choreographic dialogue with infinite possibilities.
The year 2015 also marked the 20th anniversary of the dancer Carol Prieur with COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD. To honour her, Marie Chouinard produced a book and a documentary: CAROL PRIEUR danseuse/dancer COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD.
In 2015, Marie Chouinard was awarded the Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Ordre national du Québec. The year after, she received four awards: the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, the Positano Prize for Choreographer of the Year (Italy), the Walter Carsen Prize for Excellence in the Performing Arts (Canada) and the Prize for best international work for the film MARIE CHOUINARD: THE RITE OF SPRING, as part of the 20th “Coreografo Elettronico” International Festival of Video-dance in Italy.
As part of the 500th anniversary of the death of, the Jheronimus Bosch 500 Foundation invited Marie Chouinard to create a choreography based on the work of the famous painter. In
August 2016, HIERONYMUS BOSCH: THE GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS is be performed in world premiere at the Theatrefestival Boulevard in Bosch's birth place, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
Marie Chouinard has been named the Venice biennale's director of dance for a mandate of four years (2017-2020).
